At Bryan Carpentry, we pride ourselves on craftsmanship. Each piece of furniture is built with attention to detail, ensuring durability and beauty for your outdoor space. We strive to be the best at what we do and make the best products. Every product that we build is built to last. In fact, our products are built with stronger materials and larger supports than any other products on the market. We ensure that you will love what we build for you. This business is founded on the belief of quality craftsmanship, durability, and enjoyment of the product.
I founded and run Bryan Carpentry as a woodworking and carpentry business which focuses on producing quality products the old fashioned way, through American craftsmanship. My philosophy is that anything worth being done, is worth being done right.
I have always enjoyed woodworking. As a child I would build things out of wood using my father's tools. I loved the smell of fresh cut wood and working with my hands. I would often hope that what I built would be useful and valuable to people. As an adult I began needing wooden outdoor furniture and found that the market is supplied with two extremes: overpriced products that I could just build myself anyway, or cheaply made products which still costs more than they should.
I wanted a Day Bed Swing for my front porch, and I just decided to build my own. Once the project was complete, and the swing installed, I had the idea of building another swing to sale. Once that swing sold, I built a third swing and offered it or sale. Next, I made a post on Facebook marketplace. Before I knew it, I had developed a small business making day bed swings. After this initial success, I designed a traditional porch swing which I built and began to sale. Everything I was building was being sold so quickly that I was no longer making products to sale, but I was making products for customers who had already placed an order.
Having sold hundreds of products, this business has flourished and become very successful. We are constantly growing and hope to make something beautiful for you that your family will always enjoy!
To place an order for furniture, you will only pay the deposit. Your order will be placed here at bryancarpentry.com. Once you checkout and pay, your order will be created. Upon pickup or delivery, you will pay the remaining balance for your order. All final prices (which includes the deposit) are listed beside each "finish" option in the online store. We will contact you during the process of creating your swing in order to make sure you will receive exactly what you are wanting, and also to discuss the best method of receiving your order.
With the exception of picnic tables, all products are advertised and built out of pine. Pine furniture easily takes stain and a protective clear coating, and will look beautiful on a porch or patio. The clear coat used on our pine products is Helmsman Spar Urethane, which is the same exterior coating which is used for exterior wooden doors. If the furniture we make for you is on a porch, we can guarantee that it will last. If you plan to place your furniture outside in the elements, we advise that you purchase furniture which is built out of cypress, cedar, or treated materials.
Order placed may be picked up at Bryan Carpentry, or we can deliver within a 100 mile radius of our physical address. A delivery fee of $1.50 per mile will be charged for deliveries over 15 miles.
We advise that any product made out of pine have a protective exterior product to preserve the wood. If you decide to not add protection to your furniture when you purchase, we advise that you add that protection yourself.
If your purchased furniture will be placed under a roof, we recommend that you select pine as your building material. However, if your furniture is not under a ceiling, and is in full exposure to the sun and rain, we strongly advise that you order your furniture in cypress, cedar, or treated materials.
The clear coat used on our products is Helmsman Spar Urethane. After years of wear, when you see the clear coat starting to fade or flake, lightly sand it and reapply.
All cedar and cypress furniture will come with a coating of Danish Oil already applied. We advise that you reapply Danish Oil annually to ensure that your furniture will last for generations.
